Author's Note: This was in answer to the challenge from Suzanne to elaborate from a challenge from Nancy - A rather steamy love letter ends up in the wrong hands. This is my first NC-17 piece. The corridor was empty except for the two souls that walked shoulder to shoulder, Lee Adama's arm draped around Kara Thrace whose head leaned against the Captain with a contented look. Kara's hand caressed Lee's hard stomach then dropped teasingly downwards into his pants. Her eyes widened followed by a sudden catch of breath as she looked up at him with a sly grin.

"Always Kara." Lee's hand drifted from her shoulder and pulled her closer. "Better stop that or we won't make it to where we're supposed to be going." His voice was rough and Starbuck loved that fact she was the reason for it. She rubbed the warm tip with her thumb and regretfully let go.
"To think I always wanted to lead you by your… dipstick," She laughed and Lee grinned while rolling his eyes.
"I think sometimes you do," Apollo smiled, which changed as Kara forced his back against the wall as she kissed him deeply and hungrily. Her hands ran up and down along his chest savoring the feel of his skin under his shirt. Lee responded by pushing off and forcing her against the opposing wall, his hands rubbing her breasts and nipples.
Kara moaned Lee's name as her hand moved downwards but was stopped short of her destination as Lee pulled back, pulling her with him. She was about to protest when he lifted her up into his arms kissing her deeply and continued on their way. Lee only set her down when they had arrived in front of a familiar door. When Lee unlocked the door, Kara was confused; usually this room was left open and unlocked. Her eyes widened at what greeted them – an emergency crash survival mattress with sheets, a small box and two duffel bags with towels upon them which stood in front of the open astronavigation portal with its dynamic view of space. Kara almost jumped, because once inside Lee closed the door with a loud resonate clang and locked it. She smiled as he grasped her hand and gently pulled her with him. Moving towards the bed and pulling her into his arms from behind so they could look out of the view port.
She could see his smiling handsome face in the reflection of the glass. Closing her eyes she turned around in his arms and pulled his head slightly down to meet hers. She looked deeply into his blue eyes and took a deep breath.
"I love you Lee Adama." Pausing, Kara then added softly, "Love me?" The last part sounded almost wistful and illogical though truthfully even now she was afraid of the answer he might give deep within her heart. Her eyes widened as Lee's countenance turned serious and he spoke clearly and with meaning.
"With all my heart Kara Thrace, I can't help but do that. Do you know why?" His every word seemed to punctuate with every proverbial heart beat that seemed to jump into her throat, vulnerable to him. She slowly shook her head, her eyes never leaving his. A smile crested the corner of his lips. "I have loved you from the very first time I laid eyes upon you. That feeling has never stopped, only deepened." Her eyes welled with tears as emotional knots previously unknown to even her loosened within her chest. Closing her eyes, hot streaks trailed down her cheeks as she ducked her head. Lee gently lifted her face up towards his. His eyes bright with it a warm smile upon his face as he leaned a little closer and she move to meet him, lips locked in a deep sensual kiss, tongues caressing each other slowly.
After a while Lee pulled her down onto the mattress, Starbuck's hands running under his shirt and pulling it off of him. She watched Apollo toss his shirt towards the bags; as she ran a finger tip tracing the muscles in his chest. She looked at Lee to see if he minded the slow down but he seemed as pleased to savor her touch upon his body. She sat up and pulled off her top throwing it absently in the same general direction as his. Cuddling up into his warmth, skin upon skin an intimate contact she could only fantasize about before. Closing her eyes Kara inhaled his familiar wonderful scent on top of everything else that filled her senses bringing the truth that a fantasy could never make it to this level. Stretching with feline determination and exaggeration, her arms soon reached around Lee as she began to kiss his body in a trail across his chest and the slowly down as if following an imaginary line only she could see. "I want more too Kara, but let's first slow down so we can enjoy each other," Lee grinned and Kara's smile broadened knowing he wanted more than just sex but she couldn't help but ask.
"Isn't that what we were doing?" She moved into his arms as he sat up and snuggled her head into the crook of his neck kissing his collarbone.
"Well I did bring other items such as wine and some food to enjoy together." She loved the warm tremor of his voice she could feel as she lay against his chest.
"That's not what I'm hungry for Lee." She felt him shudder with a small laugh.
"Oh I wouldn't answer so quickly, look my Love." She smiled at his affectation and looked at the open box. Her eyes narrowed with warm curiosity and she peeked in. Her eyes widened as she laughed warmly, her hand coming up to cup her mouth.
"Chocolate syrup and fresh pieces of fruit." She looked at him. "But how?" The items were rare, the fruit even more so.
"I traded some items that I had brought with me, that could never equal your value to me." At that moment Kara looked up in surprise. She knew he had some old vid discs he had brought with him from the Atlantia that were pieces of moving memories from the warm past of the shattered colonies. Even before the apocalypse they had been rare. She looked up him, her smile gone with the knowledge of what this moment had cost him. She felt Lee's hand caressing her face and he chided her. "They are a part of my past; you are my future Kara Thrace. I have no regrets; please let's make some new good memories." Lee's hand angled her chin up to receive his kiss and Kara's smile blossomed with an intensity that could blind. She leaned over and grabbed a piece of chilled fruit and popped a juicy sweet refreshing piece into her mouth.
"Very nice Captain Adama," Kara laughed holding one of Lee's arms across her chest savoring the warmth that radiates from it. She felt Lee lean across and pull out a couple of glasses followed by a bottle of wine. Soon after juggling around their positions Lee with the help of Kara had partially filled the glasses and recapped the wine bottle. They savored the moments of privacy that were rare now being aboard a Battlestar on full alert. Setting the glasses down, she watched as Lee squeezed a small droplet of chocolate onto his finger and offered it to her. Kara's eyes glowed with happiness as she took the proffered finger in her mouth, thoroughly licking and sucking the rich sweetness from it. "Very nice, now this is the way to live – chocolate, wine, fruit and a virile naked man."
"Half-naked Kara," Lee corrected with a chuckle.
"Only for the moment my dear." To emphasize the point she ran her hand over his groin and immediately felt what she was looking for running her hand along its length.
Kara felt Lee shift and soon she was beneath him looking up, he soon had a piece of fruit covered by chocolate. The last part came out sultry as she gathered some chocolate with her finger and placed some on his lips then she licked it off. Then her finger traced a thin trail down the side of his throat followed by her tongue. It pulled her back to the present and the current status of the known reality. Closing her eyes Kara's senses took in everything it could of Lee, opening hers eyes to look into his face. Lee noticed the change and his countenance became more serious.
"What is it Kara?" Lee caressed her gently.
"What happens now, Lee?" Silence filled the room as Apollo just looked at her, his eyes narrowed in thought. The quiet seemed to be filled with the hammering of her heart, though Lee seemed calm as if the answer was there right in front of the both of them. "Lee? Starbuck to Apollo… do you read me?" Kara's features were filling with a little irritation which was fueled by worry. She didn't know why or where it came from but Lee's eyes seemed to glitter in some sort of warmth that was out of the place with the current situation. It was time to hit the reset button. "Reality to Lee Adama," afterwards she reflected she could have just tapped him instead of…
"Damn," Lee rubbed the side of his head. "Why does everyone aim for my head?" The blow had taken the mirth from his eyes and replaced it with a little pain and Kara hoped some common sense. At his question Kara couldn't help but smile which was now peppered with a bit of regret for the blind siding, however she needed him there with her now.
"It's soft, a big target," She grinned and pulled him close and kissed the side of his head, "and well… there's not much to damage up there." The last part came out filled with warm laughter that soon filled Lee's features with a bright smile and she knew all was forgiven. That however didn't eliminate the need to know what was going to happen from here on out. "So what do you think Lee? I need to know where we stand… or don't." Her soul was as exposed as her body to Lee; she had laid down all of her cards. This was something she didn't want to spar about – where did she fit in his life. Lee's face became serious, his eyes deep and dark.
"Kara, we are in the same place we have always been. The difference now is that we are admitting it to ourselves and each other." Kara's eyebrows knit in confusion and she watched him take a breath as if collecting his thoughts. "We have always looked out for each other… why? Friendship? We have passed that line in so many different ways, I have hit a superior officer for his suggesting correctly and by the book that the fleet needed to move on and leave you behind." Kara eyes widened at the revelation and Lee looked a little embarrassed. "Then there was your stunt outside Ragnar Station… how long were you planning to stay there and take on waves of Cylons as the Galactica was readying to jump?" Kara's eyes glistened as she looked away, but the gentle pressure of Lee's hand brought her glittering eyes back to his. She remembered the moment back there and truth was that no thought besides staying with Lee until the Commander had called her. "I knew it then Kara Thrace, I wanted you to go back before the ship left because…" His hesitation was telling, his eyes bright with the memory, "…I needed to know you were safe. Instead I knew you weren't even thinking of leaving my side, just the way I didn't want to leave you behind. So many things have gone on Kara and I don't want to go back to the past." Kara's hand caressed Lee's warm sinewy arm, the muscles hardened and sculpted as if from marble.
"I don't want to either Lee, but this is against regulations, you are risking everything including your command." She leaned in and kissed his shoulder before looking up at his face which was usually taut with a knowing look as if he had the all the answers and was only waiting for everyone to catch up to his realizations.
"Risk a career in a fleet that for the most part no longer exists, Kara? Do you think they'll ask one of us to quit the service, to quit flying combat patrols when we are so very low on qualified pilots when there hardly any up and coming replacements?" He shook his head and then kissed her softly on the forehead. "The rules have changed, as have our lives Kara. We are resetting our truths much as the human race must restart its existence elsewhere. You want reality Starbuck…" Lee smiled, "…then think about this – you worry about me giving up everything for you?" He asked and she nodded. "Kara Thrace, without you, I only have my duty to our people and nothing else. You are the reason I look forward to our tomorrows, to our future. I may defend our people, but I fight for you. We'll have to agree to how we do or don't make our relationship known to others, but have no doubts we are together in this."
"What if I screw it up Lee?" Her fear reached out and she felt Lee kiss her temple then her lips.
"Then we will have to try to work it through, and it goes both ways Kara. You aren't cursed and I hope I can keep you enticed with me, if I can't whose fault is it? Both maybe, and I believe knowing what we have in each other will help us in the future. I can't promise you a happily ever after but I offer you everything I am." They lay intertwined together in silence knowing that for the moment no other words were needed.
